David Frye

David died Wednesday August 2nd in his sister Vickie’s home after battling cancer.

Dave was born in Davenport, Iowa on January 19, 1962. The son of Edna Frye and Cleo Frye Sr.

Dave graduated from North High School class of 1980. He moved to Tampa Florida in October 1985, where he owned and ran Dave’s Automotive. For the past 11 years Dave has worked as a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor for the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority in St Petersburg Florida.

The transit authority where Dave worked stated this: “He was a dedicated and energetic leader who brought the best out of all he worked with. His knowledge, leadership, and commitment to providing the best public transportation services was industry leading. The entire agency will be forever grateful for his selfless contributions.”

Dave is preceded in death by both parents.

Dave has 5 surviving siblings, Deborah Rogers, Taylor Arizona. Vickie and her husband Chuck LeGare, The Villages, Florida. Cleo and wife Karla Frye, Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Marti Crane, Davenport, Iowa. Rick and his wife Connye Frye, Mt Alburn, Iowa.

His entire family and friends will miss him greatly.
