Bruce Wilson Nelson

Bruce graduated from Phillips High School in Birmingham, Alabama, proudly served in the United States Army and graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Accounting.

He was a member of Smoke Rise Baptist Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia where he served as a Deacon and sang in the choir for over 30 years. During this time he was also an active member of Smoke Rise Golf and Country Club and treasurer of his home owner’s association.

In 2017 Bruce moved to Florida and helped establish a small church, Living Stones Baptist.

Left to cherish his memory is his spouse, Cynthia Nelson; brother, William “Buck” Nelson (Tommie); son, Jeff Nelson (Susan); daughter, Lara Nelson; four grandchildren and a host of extended family members and dear friends.

A Celebration of Bruce’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 19th at 11:00am Dignity Memorial Life Celebration Center in Wildwood.
