William Joseph Babich

William J. “Bill” Babich, 64, retired Babich Properties and Babich Liquor Store owner died after suffering a seizure on September 27, 2016. He was the youngest of 8 children of John and Helen Babich. Bill graduated from Bishop Carroll High School and Wichita State University. He was an active member of St. Joseph Parish, Wichita for over 40 years. He lived the Gospel through his works of kindness and mercy to his West Side neighbors. Bill loved his family, the Bahamas, the St. Louis Cardinals, the Dallas Cowboys, jazz music and his cats Jag and Purrly. He had a great sense of humor and was an avid reader. Preceded in death by his Mom, Dad and brother-in-law John Barrier.

Survivors include: brothers David (Joyce) Babich, Paul Babich all of Wichita, Mark (Wilma) Babich of Leawood, KS, sisters: Cathy James, Joan Barrier, Alice (Randy) Simon all of Wichita, Carol (Wayne) McCollam of Bismarck, N.D., goddaughter Jessie Schwab and Bill’s other nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
