Virginia Clara (Hanson) Edwards, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. She was born August 3, 1934 to Henry J. Hanson and Edna L. (Montgomery) Hanson in Madison, Kansas. Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend who will be missed.
She married Hubert Lee Edwards on June 12, 1954 in Wichita, Kansas and to that union had three children: Terry, Nancy and Pamela.
Virginia was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. But above of all, Virginia loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Edna Hanson; brother, George Hanson (Velda); brother-in-law, Chuck Ferguson; and loving husband, Hubert Edwards.
Virginia is survived by her children, Terry (Jolene) Edwards, Nancy (Mike) Bluml and Pam (Mike) Hickey; sister, Judy Ferguson; 8 wonderful grandchildren, Gail Edwards, Michael (Jennifer) Edwards, Crystal (Justin) Smith, Bryan (Christine) Edwards, Katie Edwards, Brent Hickey, Sean Hickey, and Eric Bluml (Lacy); 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service for Virginia will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 29, 2022 with visitation one hour prior, at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th Street N., Wichita, Kansas 67206. Burial following the service at Lakeview Cemetery in the Garden of Meditation.
