Vicki D. Hartley

Hartley, Vicki D., 68, passed away after a long battle with Parkinson's, July 30, 2018. Vicki was an outgoing and friendly person who never met a stranger. While she was a hard worker and artistically talented, she was modest and never was one to seek praise. She was a gifted cook and baker who loved playing cards, creating jewelry as well as a variety of crafts, and most especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Vicki was a strong, nurturing, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Wilma Gilliland. She is survived by her husband of many years, Edward Hartley; sons, David (Amy), Marvin (Jesi), Matthew (Amy) Hartley; sister, Becki (Virgil) Allen; brothers, Quincey Gilliland Jr and Larry (Connie) Gilliland; as well as her grandchildren, Megan, Shane, Katelyn, Remi, Myla, Paige, and Payton; as well as numerous family members and friends. A visitation will be held from 12-1 p.m. with funeral rites following at 1 p.m. Fri. Aug. 3, 2018, both at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel, 11800 West Highway 54 Wichita, KS. A receptipon with refreshments provided will follow at St Peter the Apostle Catholic Church-Dominic Hall, 11000 W Southwest Blvd, Wichita, KS 67215. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Vicki's name may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
