Burdine, Vernon “Cliff”, 83, retired manager of Heating & Air Warehouse, past Commander American Legion Post #256, member of V.F.W. 3112, Masonic Blue Lodge of Newton, Eagles Lodge of Wichita, passed away March 14, 2012. Preceded in death by wife, Patsy Crego Burdine, 5 brothers and 1 sister. Cliff is survived by Audrey, wife of 12 years; beloved pet, Annie; daughters, Julie (David) Collins of Wichita, Kathy (Roger) Held of Wichita; stepson, Kenny Tauer of Haysville; step-daughter, Adria (Dennis) McKay of Kechi; and grandchildren, Jeremy Fisher, Ronald Hunt, Jason Schmid, Russell (Krista) Hunt, Raymond (Jill) Hunt; step-grandchildren, Steven (Gwen) McKay, Jennifer (Jason) Jahnke and Jeremy Tauer, 9 great grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Burdine Memorial Scholarship Fund at Friends University. Viewing Monday 12-8:00 with family receiving from 5:30 – 6:30. Funeral service Tuesday, March 20th at 10:00 am, both at Resthaven Mortuary.
