Theresa A. Stewart

Stewart Theresa "Teri",86, passed away April 11, 2017. Teri retired from Jayhawk Pipeline as the Executive Secretary, was one of the first teachers' aides for the Wichita school district and began her working career at Boeing and McConnell. She was highly regarded for her outstanding enthusiasm and work ethic. She loved playing cards, going boating, traveling and dancing. She was an active member of the Oil Secretaries, Suburbanites Westlink Club and the North High class of ’48 reunion committee. Teri was always in high spirits and full of laughter, often pulling pranks on her kids and sharing her great sense of humor with her loving family. She is preceded in death by husband of 45 years, Charles E. Stewart, parents, William Leo and Catherine Mary Dougherty, brother, Cappy Daley, sisters, Jane Cathy and Kate Adams, and grandson, Kyle Douglas Stewart. Teri is survived by sons, Daniel (Karla) Stewart, Douglas (Michelle) Stewart, and David (Sue Ellen) Stewart; grandchildren, Matthew (Vanessa) Stewart, Eric (Misty) Stewart, Ryan (Pearl) Commings, Scott (Jenna) Commings, T.J. Stewart, Brianne Stewart, Bobby (Sara) Stansbury, and Amie (Bill) Jones; 13 great grandchildren and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Wednesday April 19, 2017 and Celebration of life service will be held 10:00 am Thursday April 20, 2017 both at Resthaven Mortuary. Memorial donations can be made to Encompass Hospice.
