Teddie J. Moore, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at the age of 78. Ted was born September 12, 1943. He was surrounded by his loved ones in his home in Haysville, Kansas.
Teddie was born on September 12, 1943 to Herschel and Evelyn (Coyon) Moore in Southwest City, Missouri. On August 18, 1978 he married the love of his life, Carolyne and together they raised their son Pinkey.
Teddie was a selfless and caring husband who devoted his life to taking care of Carol and Pinkey. As a tool maker at Boeing for many years, he provided for his family in every way. He loved working with his hands, and with the help of his father they almost completely renovated Teddie and Carol’s home.
Teddie and Carol loved to travel and they documented their adventures with thousands of pictures. They played in pool leagues, bowling leagues and never missed a chance to go out dancing. They never missed a sporting event when Pinkey was playing and that carried into the years of watching their grandson’s Bailey and Beni when they played as well.
Teddie was a kind and gentle soul that never raised his voice. He chose his words wisely and when he did speak, everyone in the room would listen.
After his stroke in 2010 left him partially paralyzed, Teddie was confined to his bed and Carol devoted her life to taking care of him. He never complained. He brought so much joy to the lives of everyone he encountered and he did so with very few words. He was strong and humble, devoted and honest, loving and sincere in every aspect of his life.
Teddie is preceded in death by his father Herschel and wife Carolyne (Meairs).
He is survived by his son Pinkey (Angie) Klein, his mother Evelyn, his sisters Sherry (Robert) Yates and Charlotte Macy, 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great nephews.
