Taylor W. Thornburg, age 37, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at his home in Wichita, Kansas. Taylor was born on January 5, 1987 in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Steve M. Thornburg and Pam L. Summervill.
Taylor attended Maize High School. He was an outstanding baseball player. Besides baseball his hobbies and interests included golf, football, fishing, working on cars, and spending time with family and brothers in Christ.
Survivors include his father, Steve; his loving mother, Pam and her husband, Marc Summervill; his sister, Sydney Merz and her husband, Kyle, together with their three children: Kennedy, Jordan and Kyleigh; and his grandmother, Sherrill Sparks.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Central Christian Church, 2900 North Rock Road, Wichita. Funeral service will be livestreamed by Central Christian Church at https://www.ccc.org/memorials
Graveside Services will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Garden of Meditation, Kellogg and 119th Street.
All are invited to a Celebration of Life following the graveside service at 4:30 p.m., Brick and Mortar, 230 South Topeka Street, Wichita.
A memorial has been established with Central Christian Church in Taylor's name.
