Sue Ann Heinemann Hines, loving mother, grandmother and GiGi was born December 1, 1936 in Denver, CO. She gained her heavenly wings and entered her heavenly home on Thursday, Jan 28, 2021. For the past four years, she was a resident at the Life Care Center of Wichita. She was preceded by the love of her life Thomas G Hines, her sister Katherine Braman, parents William (Bill) & Jane Heinemann, and most recently her granddaughter Stanna Marie O’Brien.
Sue attended school in Lakewood, CO. Her career consisted of secretarial jobs in Salina & Liberal, KS. She later owned her own cleaning service in Wichita. Sue loved her family. She made a big deal on your birthday by calling you on the phone and singing “Happy Birthday” to you. She would make your favorite meal and birthday cake. She loved the holidays & will be remembered for buying “jammies” for her great grands every Christmas and singing “The Santa Claus is Coming to Town.” She enjoyed spending her free time camping and being with friends, taking care of her beautiful rose garden and canning her famous salsa. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing the daily crossword.
Sue is survived by her children Jean Ann Weber (Douglas), Pamela Sue Wiemerslage (Mike), both of Wichita, KS, Kristi Johansen of Hillsboro, OR and Lori Fisher of Liberal, KS, step children Michael Hines (Kim) of El Granada, CA & Tami Kaiser (Jim) of Chandler, AZ. Jennifer Hopkins of Wichita, KS and Julie Banks of Newton, KS. Grandchildren James P (J.P.) O’Brien of New York City, Michelene Kimpston of Andover, KS, James Monroe of Wichita, KS and Lindsay Plunk of Wichita, KS. Her step grandchildren, Caroline and Jacob Hines of El Granada, CA, Zachary Kaiser of Chandler, AZ and Garrett Kaiser of Flagstaff, AZ. Great-grandchildren Patrick & Isaiah O’Shea, Willow Grace Helms, Kiersten (Logan) Schmitt, Michael, Jackson and Mason Monroe, Noah Fisher, Kason Plunk, Avery Wooldridge, Great-great grandson Parker Schmitt and cousins Marie Gutierrez of Brighton, CO, Charles Galbasin (Kathleen) of Surprise, AZ and Charles A Veatch II of Reston, VA.
