Age 81, of Wichita, died August 4, 2018 at St. Francis-Harry Hynes Hospice. She was born December 7, 1936 in Kingman, KS. Survivors include son, Kenneth Kissire, girlfriend Melody Davis of Shidler, OK; grandson, Michael Kissire, and his wife, Linda; and great granddaughter, Adriana of Warner Robins, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Kissire; parents, Pearl and Carl Mahaffey; and 3 siblings, Agnes, Virgil and Lowell Mahaffey. Shirley became a beloved member of her uncle’s family at the age of 10 after her mother’s death. In her second family she was preceded in death by her uncle, Otto and aunt, Alma Collins; and sister/cousin, Erma (Darrel) White; brother-in-law/cousin Verlin A. Ingram. Shirley is survived by 2 siblings/cousins, Larry (Cora) Collins of Lathrop, MO and Brenda Ingram of Valley Center, KS. Shirley will be remembered by many in her extended family. Family isn’t just blood, it is love. A memorial serivce will be held by the family at a later date.
