Sheryl Diane Jackson

Jackson, Sheryl Diane (Vogel), 73, passed away peacefully at home on November 29, 2017. She was born to Vernon and Edrie Vogel in Baltimore, Maryland on May 29, 1944. Her early childhood was spent in Iowa before moving to Kansas. She graduated from Sacred Heart in 1962 and spent a short time in Mexico, working at Rancho La Puerta, prior to returning to Kansas and attending Kansas State University where she met her forever partner of 51 years, Jerry Jackson. Sheryl was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend who cherished her time with all. She enjoyed participating in the 3 B’s; bingo, bunco and bridge as well as sharing her creative talents with all whom she crossed paths. She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Vogel and mother, Edrie Vogel (Ochs). She is survived by her husband, Jerry Jackson; daughter, Mollie Jo Jackson (James Nielsen) of Overland Park, KS; sisters, Sue Bratcher and Sydney Vogel. We know she is watching over us. Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Resthaven Mortuary with burial at 11 a.m. Monday, December 4, 2017 at Resthaven Cemetery.
