Sheila was born and grew up in Wichita, Kansas. She graduated from Wichita Heights High School with the class of 1976. She worked at Starkey Inc. of Wichita as a work trainer.
She enjoyed cooking and being in the kitchen, playing pool, and loved the challenge of trying to fix broken objects.
Sheila is preceded in death by her mother Agnes in 2020.
Surviving family members are her father Leonard Ternes of Goddard, KS, siblings Donald Ternes and his wife Eileen of Mulvane, KS, and Jennifer Coats and her husband Brent of Wichita, KS. She is also survived by a niece Katherine Lohnes and her husband Chris, nephews; Christopher Ternes and his fiancée Maggie Yuille, Chad Coats, and Todd Coats and his wife Cristin. She was a great friend to many people and will be sadly missed.
