Chavez, Seledon, 86, was born May 19, 1924 in Puerto de Luna, New Mexico to Amado and Clarita Chavez. He married Juanita Dodge in Tucumcari, New Mexico, on December 16, 1944. Seledon and Juanita have 8 children: Sheldon, Maria, George, Mike, Mona, Cindy, Ramon (deceased), and Romanita (deceased). They have 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Seledon worked for Santa Fe Railroad and also worked jobs as a roofer, carpenter, and for Furrs Cafeteria. Seledon came to know the Lord as his personal savior in 1967 in Clovis, New Mexico. He attended Westside Bible Chapel. Viewing is Monday from 12-8 P.M. with family receiving from 5-6 P.M, and memorial service is 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Resthaven Mortuary.
