It's been a year, today, since you went home to be with Jesus. It doesn't seem possible that you have been gone this long, my sweet momma. I miss your daily calls with your precious greeting: "What you doing?" in only the unique way you would say it. During the last few weeks of your earthly life, it became so unbearable to see you in so much pain and suffering.  But I am glad you are not suffering anymore! No more suffering, pain, or heartaches for you. I can see you walking fast down the streets of gold as you go about in heaven. Just like you used to walk fast down the halls at the beautiful assisted living facility you loved living at. We would alarmingly say, "not so fast, momma." But off you would go down the hall--happy because you had your kids/grandkids around you. We have made some pretty wonderful memories with you and we cherish every one of them. What is so incredible is the tremendous love you had for us, your children. We could do no wrong but even if we did, you were so quick to forgive as it was so wonderfully demonstrated one weekend in May of 2013. You whispered to me how happy you were that things were good again after they left. We rejoiced together for that was an answer to our prayers. So glad I stayed around to help you get ready for the night that evening for I may have never known that. Your health went downhill soon after that event in May. We all miss you so much! We will continue our family gatherings at Stan's house in your memory. There, every time we look at your beautiful angel collection displayed in the gorgeous cabinet you proudly purchased long ago, we think of you. And we can't help but think about how much joy it probably gave you when you were whisked away last year by one of those angels (the Lord selected just for you) to be placed into the arms of Jesus!  We know we will see you again. I can't say that enough! What a rejoicing there will be when your wonderful face we will see. See you soon, dear momma!

What I remember most about Sadie was the deep love she had for her children.  She was indeed a people person.  She was a very  generous and supportive person.  She was also fun to be around and she knew how to have a good time.  Although you will be missed, the Lord has you now and that is a very comforting feeling.

We will miss u but until we see each other again Keep the light on for me.

Too the Stevenson family: My prayers be with you. I had the pleasure of spending time with Sadie as her Caregiver, and she loved to talk about the Lord. I know she is sitting at the feet of Jesus:) R.I.P Sadie (Mamacita).

Dear Sadie Stevenson family, I was so saddened to hear of Sadie's passing. I know what a cornerstone to the family she was, and how much her children and grandchildren adored her! I will always take comfort in knowing how vital a role she played in Ashley's life as her beloved Grandma Sadie.

Mom, I am home and I miss you. I can hear you say, "It only hurts for a little while." I understand that time heals, but today it hurts a lot. I will be strong, just like you were. I will endure, just like you did, I will survive, just like you did! I can't wait to see you. Love, Ducky

Dear Bonni and family....

We are sorry to hear about the loss of yoru beautiful Mamacita. We are thinking of you all with much love and peace for this time of sorrow.

 My most sincere thoughts and prayers go out to all of you, seven of my most cherished cousins, Bonni, Roberta, Ranee, Donna, Pat, Stan, and Ed. I never know what to say when someone loses a loved one, but I want you all to know that you have been in my constant thoughts for these last two days.
