Haner-Cremeen, Ruth, 89, was born October 31, 1925 in Jonesboro, AR and passed away on May 1, 2015 in Wichita, Kansas. Ruth started working for Western Union after she graduated from Lonoke High School in Arkansas. She was transferred to Wichita at the age of 20, and continued working for Western Union throughout her career, retiring at age 55. Ruth’s husband Karl Haner passed away in 1988. She later met and married Chester “Chet” Cremeen in 1992. Ruth and Chet loved dancing together, especially to Big Band music at the Cotillion. The couple enjoyed socializing with their many friends, and also traveled throughout the United States as well as throughout the world. Some of the places Ruth and Chet visited include Antarctica, South America, Russia, England, Alaska, Hawaii, Australia, and Scandinavian countries. They delighted in playing slots at casinos, going on cruises, and dining together. Ruth absolutely loved life, and was a positive inspiration to everyone who met her. She is preceded in death by husbands Karl Haner, Chet Cremeen; parents Robert and Augusta Craft; brother Kenneth Craft; great-nephew Shane Howell. She is survived by brother Billy (Jane) Craft; nieces Polly (Len) Benfell, Kay (Gary) Howell, Robin Craft; nephew Larry (Debbie) Craft; great nieces Blaire White and Scarlett Benfell; step-son Allen (Gloria) Cremeen; step-daughter Holyce (Larry) McGaugh; step-grandchildren Jeramie, Jess, Fawn, Ida, Lucas, Ronald. Memorial Service 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th Street, Wichita.
