Roy C. Bennett went to be with Jesus on Jan. 10, 2019 at his home. He was born Jan. 11, 1941 in Myrtle, MO. He graduated from Emporia State University with a Bachelors in Business. He moved to Arkansas City and Married Carolee in 1966. He became employed by Skyline at that time, later becoming owner/salesman with Equitable Insurance. They moved to Wichita in 1994 where he was employed by Dillon’s, retiring in 2017. He enjoyed golf, coached softball and was a member of the Local Shriners. Roy was preceded in death by his mother Irene and daughter Debbie.
He is survived by his wife Carolee, his daughters Kimberly (John) Curtis and Lisa (Larry) Smith, son Kevin (Shirley) Bennett and grandchildren: Brianna, Bobbie Jane, Drew, KCJ, Codi, Bailey, Adam, Ryan, Jace and Russel as well as several great grandchildren.
Funeral Service, 1pm, Friday, Jan. 18, 2019 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 2801 W. 15th, Wichita, KS with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
