Roseana "Rosie" Jane Williams, age 90, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at the Mercy Hospital in Berryville, Arkansas. Mrs. Williams, daughter of Cecil and Rose (Orr) Page, was born on August 29, 1923, in Manchester, Oklahoma. On July 5, 1942, she was united in marriage to Errol Wayne Williams in Wichita, Kansas, with his father officiating the service. They h ave lived in the Barry County area for the last thirty years, moving here from Kansas. Mrs. Williams was a homemaker almost all of her life; she always was there for their children. She enjoyed painting, knitting, crocheting, reading, cross word puzzles, and helping her children and grandchildren solve their problems. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Shell Knob Church of Christ in Shell Knob, and the North Side Church of Christ in Wichita, Kansas. She was a friend to many and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her husband of seventy-one years, Wayne Williams, of Shell Knob; two daughters, Pennie Kennedy, of Goddard, Kansas, and Polly Shortt and her husband Noel, of Wichita, Kansas; a niece whom they have raised as a daughter, Lana Farmer and her husband Steve, of Chattanooga, Tennessee; two daughters-in-law, Beverly Williams, of Iowa City, Iowa, and Diane Williams, of Los Lunas, New Mexico; seven grandchildren, Wendy Ellis, Jason Kennedy, Amber Medrano, Linda Anguiano, Noella Shortt, Nick Newcomb, and Amy Williams; eight great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Ellis, Tate Ellis, Brenna Medrano, Bella Medrano, Dominic Anguiano, Elias Anguiano, Kamerynn Shortt, and Khryztain Shortt.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Williams who passed away on February 14, 1995, and Richard Williams who passed away on May 28, 2010; one brother, Robert Page; and one sister, Velma Dodson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at the Shell Knob Church of Christ in Shell Knob with Robert Housby, Minister, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2014, at the Resthaven Cemetery in Wichita, Kansas, with Steve Tandy, Minister, officiating.
