Darlene was born on October 15, 1931 in Wichita, the daughter of Walter M. and Delia A. (White) Reed. She was a lifelong Wichita resident. She married Harvey James Morgan, the love of her life, on September of 1953. They happily raised their three surviving children and excitingly welcomed each of their grandchildren. Their faith and family were the center of their lives.
Preceding in death, her husband Harvey, sons Jeffery and Brian Morgan and son in law M. Phillip Walker. Siblings preceding in death, Doris Giddeon, Walter Lee Reed, Phillip Reed and Joyce Borders.
Those left to share her memory are daughters, Debra Walker, Becky Schwind (Chris) and Greg Morgan (Julie). Sisters Dorothy Maslen and Judy Fell. Grandchildren, Tana Weber, Angela McFaul (Stephen), Mistee Montgomery (Scott), Heidi Gilbert (Aaron), Katie McDaniel (Adam), James Sanderford (Heather), Blane Sanderford, Michael Schwind (Amber) and Alex Morgan (MaKayla). Twenty-Four great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Darlene continued to be the cornerstone of the family after Harvey’s death 1998, while missing him dearly. We rest comfortably knowing that they are now reunited with each other and their two small sons.
