Roger D. Naylor, of Wichita, passed away on September 16, 2018, at the age of 74. Born to Floyd and Florine Naylor in Newton, Kansas in 1943, he graduated from Newton High School in 1961 and started a family shortly thereafter. In 1988, he met Paula Sue Kirkpatrick and as he would tell it many times over the years, he was immediately smitten. The two formed a loving partnership that lasted a quarter of a century with Roger finally getting to walk her down the aisle in 2001. Roger was a proud member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union of Wichita serving over 50 years with them, including three years as a federal mediator. He retired in June of 2002. Roger is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Helen Baker of El Reno, Oklahoma and his beautiful wife, Paula. He is survived by daughter, Natalie Montgomery and her husband, Paul; son, Tony Naylor and his wife, Cindy; step-daughter, Sara Kirkpatrick and her husband, Earl Wilson (all of Wichita, KS); step-son, A.J. Kirkpatrick and his wife, Rebecca Cruise (of Oklahoma City, OK); his adored grandchildren, Kevin Kirkland and his wife, Kristin and Mary Montgomery, Anthony, Christopher and John Naylor, Clifton Carmichael, Khaai and Keeni Wilson and Polly and Rory Kirkpatrick; siblings, Emma Swick, Don Naylor and Carolyn Naylor; and his and Paula's beloved dog, Buddy. Services will be held at 10 am on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Riverside Christian Church, 1001 Litchfield N., Wichita, KS 672093. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the fund Roger created five years ago to honor his wife, Paula's Memorial Youth Fund at the Riverside Church. His family and friends take solace that he is now with God and his sweet Paula.
