Robert Edward Smith

Smith, Robert Edward “Bob”, 86, passed into eternal rest January 12, 2011 reuniting with the love of his life, wife, Nova Jean smith, who shared 55 wonderful years of marriage before preceding him. Robert, a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, uncle and friend to many was born in Bristol, TN on October 18, 1924 to Edward and Martha Smith. Robert worked 40 years with the Boeing Company before retiring as a supervisor in 1990. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working crossword puzzles and reading daily from his Bible. Robert is preceded in death by father Edward and mother Martha, his brothers Carl and Clarence, his sisters Mary and Katherine and great grandchildren Keirsten McGrew, Lane and Chance Casey. He is survived by children Brenda Dudley (Larry) of Prague, OK; Kathy Casey (Rick) of Wichita; Eddie Smith (Cathie) of Farmersville, TX; and Debbie Ramsey of Wichita, 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday 2 to 4 pm, with family present at Resthaven Mortuary; funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, January 17, 2011 at Westside Freewill Baptist Church.
