Robert J. Rue

Rue, Robert J., 81, retired Boeing engineer went to be with the Lord August 12, 2014. Robert was a Trustee at Central Christian College for 21 years, a member of Gideon’s International and a delegate to the FMC General Conference. Bob and Albertine were able to be a part of a FM Church plant in Northwest Wichita. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Virginia Hoffman and Rozan Stucky. Robert is survived by his wife of 61 years, Albertine; sons, Robert Timothy (Sandra) Rue of Fort Wayne, IN, Stephen (Beverly) Rue of Valley Center, KS, Philip (Jolita) Rue of Udall, KS; grandchildren, Brittany Rue, Chadwick Rue, Bryant Rue, Charity Rue, Harason Rue, Talbot Rue, Mercy Rue, Elizabeth (Jackson) Colflesh, Michelle (John-Mark) Henke, Nicole (Dylan) Jacob, Cara Rue, Rebecca Rue, Lucas (Tear’a) Rue, Caleb (Amber) Rue, Jonalee (Steven) VanDerHart, Janelle (Jared) Holcomb, Jennaea (Benjamin) Miller, Janessa Rue, Jaycie Rue, Jacob Rue, Judah Rue, Jillaina Rue; great grandchildren, Adelyn Colflesh, Amelia Colflesh, Titus Henke, Francisco Jones and Diego Jones. Visitation with family present is Sunday 3 to 5 at Resthaven Mortuary. Funeral service is 10:00 am Monday, August 18 at Northwest Free Methodist Church and graveside service is 3:00 pm Monday at McPherson City Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Gideon’s International, Central Christian College or Northwest Free Methodist Church.
