Robert “Bob” Kreager, 77, of Park City, Kansas, peacefully entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. Born in Wichita to Robert Kreager Sr. and Emily Griffen on February 22, 1947, Bob married Cheryl Bauman on December 23, 1966, in Neodesha, Kansas.
On October 10, 1966, he joined the United States Navy, proudly serving for four years before transferring to the Naval Reserves in 1970. Following his military service, Bob dedicated much of his career as a Supervisor for HVAC, overseeing the systems for schools throughout Sedgwick County. He later enjoyed working at Home Depot for 10 years until his retirement.
Known for his warm and friendly nature, Bob loved engaging in conversation with everyone he met. His coworkers cherished his company, often finding it hard to finish tasks in a single day due to his liking for chatting. An avid golf enthusiast, he delighted in both playing the sport and cheering on his favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs. Bob also had a deep affection for animals and could often be found playing with puppies.
Above all, Bob cherished his family. He was a big, sweet, loving bear who adored his grandchildren and actively participated in their activities.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Cheryl; his children, Derek (Alison) Kreager, Wendy (Jay) Southern, and Kera Camacho; his siblings, Mike (Carol) Kreager and Sue (Larry) Cushenberry; and his beloved grandchildren, Ashley, Anthony, Emily, and Kruse.
