Robert "Bob" Owen Hitchings

Robert "Bob" Owen Hitchings, age 83, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024. Bob was born November 18, 1940, in Phoenix, Arizona to Marcile Lynette Adair Hitchings and John Eugene Hitchings.

Bob served honorably in the United States Navy. He served as a Police Officer for 10 years with the Wichita Police Department. After the WPD, Bob retired from Boeing after 20 years as a Buyer.

Bob is survived by his wife, Cherryle Hitchings; daughter Carrie Harpenau (Mark); and grandsons Cole Harpenau and Jacob Harpenau.

Bob was preceded in death by his father John Eugene Hitchings; mother Marcile Lynette Adair Hitchings; and brother John "Jack" Hitchings.

A private family graveside service with Military Honors will be held at Lakeview Cemetery, 12100 E. 13th St. N, Wichita, KS 67206.
