Ball, Robert William, 88, retired Cessna Experimental Department employee passed away Oct. 22, 2014. Robert was a former volunteer at Harry Hynes Hospice and The Shepherd Center at East Heights United Methodist Church. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening and served as a radio operator in the Navy at the end of WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace “Beverly” and brother, Virgil Ball. He is survived by his children, Kathleen (Mike) Lloyd, Dwight Ball, Randy (Terry) Ball, Becky (Ron) Wherritt, Jenny (Jesse) Brown; brothers, Don Ball, Jim Ball; sisters, Bonnie Welchert, Cheryl Maske; 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and dear companion of many years, Jody Kunkle. Memorial service is 1:00 pm Saturday, Oct. 25 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Memorials may be sent to American Cancer Society.
