Beach, Rex H., 89, US 10th Armored Division Infantryman and retired Boeing sheet metal assembler passed away Nov. 12, 2011. He was born Jan. 29, 1922 in Zion, Arkansas. Rex was injured in Battle of The Bulge, honorably discharged receiving a Purple Heart and a lifelong member of Baptist Churches, most recently a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Even though he was a quiet man he was devoted to God, his Country and his family. He was preceded in death by his father James T. Beach, mother Lucy S. Hanley Beach and nephew Tom Maninger. Survivors are sister Ida B. Maninger Hughes; brother James L. (Jane) Beach; nieces Gailan Maninger, Suzanne (Doug) Coin, Lisa Beach; nephew Alan (Rita) Beach; great nephews Ryan (Hillary) Yoder and Bradley Reinert. Funeral service is 1:00 pm Thursday, Nov. 17 at Resthaven Mortuary with visitation 1 hour prior to service. Memorials may be sent to Wounded Warrior Project or Immanuel Baptist Church.
