Ray L. Thomas

Ravon (Ray) L. Thomas 90 died on August 21, 2013 in Wichita, KS. He was born in Wichita and graduated from North High School, class of 1941. He attended Friends University before entering military service. His military services in the U.S. Army infantry earned him the Silver Star Medal during WWII. After his military service, he moved to California where he completed his formal education. He devoted his life to a career as an educator in California and Mexico. Subsequent to retirement in California, Mr. Thomas returned to Wichita and divided his time between his home in Wichita and a home in Mexico City where he taught English as a Second Language. He is preceded in death by his parents; Vernon and Bertha Thomas, brother; Charles E. Thomas. Survived by his sister; Mrs. William (Virginia) Webb, of Wichita as well as three generations of nieces and nephews. There will be no memorial services. Inurnment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Covina Hills, California.
