Ray William Suiter

Ray William Suiter, born in Iantha, MO, March 9,1928, age 91. He went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday February 15, 2020. Ray joined the Navy after High School. He married the love of his life, Leona Suiter, April 17, 1949. Ray was soft spoken, kind, caring, humble and set a genuine example of what it means to be a follower of Christ. This was done by his love for others and especially his wife, Leona, of 70 years. His whole life revolved around loving and caring for her. He loved his daughter and his grandchildren. He was also so proud of his four great-grandsons and his face lit up every time he was with them. Ray and Leona were long time members of Derby Friends Church before retiring to the Kansas City area. He loved to work outside in his yard and flower garden. He is survived by his wife Leona Suiter, daughter Sharon Key, grandson Bryan Key, and wife Andrea, granddaughter Heather Jeremiah and husband Dwayne, 4 great- grandsons Brady and Alex Key and Devin and Dylan Jeremiah. He was proceeded in death by his parents, 6 siblings, son-in-law Ed Key, and grandson Jeremy Key. Funeral at Derby Friends Church, Derby, KS., Friday, February 21st, at 11:00 a.m. Interment at El Paso cemetery.
