Aunt Deana and family: I have so many fond memories of Uncle Ray. As a child I thought Uncle Ray always seemed so tall his head must be bumping into clouds! 4th of July celebrations at Carl and Nina's place, Grandpa's farm, and there in Wichita too were made better by Uncle Ray's smile and deep laugh. I loved his Airplane stories and updates on the latest Citation project. His gift to me of a Styrofoam mock-up of the Citation II was a treasure I will always remember. My fondest memory of Uncle Ray is the way that this tall, brilliant man would gently carry on a conversation with his pets. I think of Ray when I catch myself asking my pets questions. I guess I know where that comes from. I hope God uses Citation Jets in heaven. I want to fly one with Uncle Ray!

Dear Mrs. Griswold and family,

I want to express my condolences regarding Ray's death.  I cannot fathom the grief and disbelief all of you must be experiencing now.  There is no way to prepare and be ready for this even when we see it coming.  You did more than anyone could expect in his last few years and you are to be commended.

I didn't know Ray well, be he seemed to have a dry sense of humor and seemed to be much of a family man and loving to all.  He obviously was very intelligent and confident.  He must be greatly missed by all.

May the Lord help you be comforted as you live day to day and grieve.  May you all grow closer as a family through this.  Again, if there is anything I may do, let me know.

Please pass along my condolences to Georgia if you get a chance.  While I am not sure I ever worked directly with Ray, I certainly recall his presence within Engineering and know he was a respected leader.
