He was a Corpsman in the U.S. Marines during WWII, serving at Iwo Jima. He was a retired Director of High Adventure for the Boy Scouts of America.
R. Scott was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Beth Wills. He is survived by his wife Joanne Agnew; daughter Cheri Harvey (Ray); sons Doug Agnew (Ina), Marty Agnew (Debbie); step-daughter Linda Weible (Greg); step-son David Argyle (Judy); sister Fran Galvin; brother Bill Agnew; 15 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
Private services were held earlier. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Midian Shrine Hospital Van Unit.
