Phoebe started her lifelong career as a railroader right out of high school. She worked for the railroad until retirement. She also pursued her business in Cronin Photos and Memory Lane Flower Shop. Phoebe was a polio survivor. Phoebe and her late husband Richard loved to travel. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, Daughters of Isabel and active volunteer with the Knights of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands: Willard Guess, Bud Cronin, and Richard Warren; daughter, Carolyn King; grandson, Michael James; two great-grandsons; six sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by daughter, Linda (Glen) Webster; son, Daniel (Lois) Cronin; six grandchildren;15 great-grandchildren;19 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, James (Jayne) Peters of Alma, Michigan and Walter (Linda) Peters of Center, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A recitation of the rosary will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at 9:30AM following Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM both at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 645 N. 119th St., Wichita, Kansas 67235. Immediately following the mass an interment will be held at St. Peters Cemetery, 134 W. Peter Avenue, Schulte, Kansas 67215.
