Peter was born September 28, 1952 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, a son of the late John and Maartje (Zevenbergen) Wolters.
Peter then moved to the Essex County area in 1957, and he followed in his father’s footsteps working as a truck driver most of his life. He traveled to many different destinations going north, south, east, and west through Canada and the USA, transporting items from fruits, veggies, steel, pipelines and “farmers gold.” He left an impression on all whom he met and will be remembered for his hearty infectious laugh.
He is survived by his mother; children Andrea, Dave, Steve and Alexis Wolters; his partner Cassandra; sister Audrey Ferguson (Howard); his grandchildren Devan, Alexandrea, Jordana, Jacob, Hudson, Kylar and Lilian; and nieces Kaitlin Ferguson (Steve) and Heather Ferguson (Shawn).
Cremation has been effected.
