Pat was born into a military family, her father, Al, was a Calvary Master Horseman in the Army, stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas. She grew up with her only sister Judy, whom she loved greatly. The family traveled to wherever the military required their father to be, from Fort Riley to Oregon, Washington, and eventually California. Pat and her sister Judy would often visit their Grandmother “Ivy” in Kansas who frequently spoke of the “Lord”. Pat and Judy would often find themselves enrolled in summer Bible School when visiting.
As the years progressed, Pat, as an adult returned to Kansas first landing in Kansas City and eventually Wichita. After three children, a couple of marriages and divorce, Pat would meet a man who would wind up being the greatest spiritual influence of her life, Ronnie White. Pat and Ronnie attended church together regularly and were eventually married. Through his influence, Pat was led to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Invited to attend services at First Evangelical Free, Pat and Ronnie had found a new church home. Pat continued to dedicate her life to serving Christ, the church and the community. Whether assisting in children ministries, serving meals, working on Love thru Action projects or helping with the Senior Leadership Team, she loved too always be busy. She loved pets of all kinds, birds, bunnies, kittens, puppies and even Peacocks. She was also quite skilled in art and crafts.
Her greatest love was just spending time with family. Pat is survived by: Children: Sharee Von Elling, Terry Von Elling, John “Gil” Fisher; Daughter-in-laws: Karen Fisher, Kristen Von Elling; Grandchildren: Candace Fisher, Christy Fisher, Elliott Ginder, Erich Ginder; Great Grandchildren: Shalaycia, Cristobal, Maddison, Aiden, Miraina, Ariana, Liam, Louis, Edith and Claudia.
