Miner, Opal, born 2/6/1925 (86 years old) in Carnegie, OK went home to be with the Lord 9/7/11. She married Earl T. Miner 6/19/47 in Wichita, KS. They were married 3 months shy of 50 years when her husband passed away. She retired from National Linen and worked at Sear’s, Ward’s and Boeing. She was a member of St. Luke Presbyterian Church for many years and taught Sunday School. Opal was preceded in death by her mother Mary Elsie (Dyer) Nance, father Lester N. Nance, brothers Arthur, Arnold, Donald, Lavern and sister Oneta (Nance). Surviving children: Sandy Miner (Anna) of Mesa, AZ; daughter Linda Miner of Wichita; grandchildren Harold Littlejohn of Wichita, Nick Miner (Tiffany) of Tempe, AZ, Michelle Mains of Mesa, AZ, Stacy Lee (Tony) of Baldknob, AR; great grandchildren Dalton Mains of Mesa, AZ, Jacob Miner of Tempe, AZ, Ashley Lee, Angel Mosley of Baldknob, AR, Aelan Littlejohn of Wichita; brothers Vernon (Mary) Nance of Tulsa, OK, Bob (Barbara) Nance of Rose Hill; sisters-in-law Marvell Nance of Wichita, Betty (Nance) Thurman of Siloam Springs, AR, Darlene (Nance) Meyers of Concord, OK; lots of nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces. Funeral service is 1:00 pm Saturday, Sept. 10 at Resthaven Mortuary. In lieu of flowers her wishes were to have donations go to St. Luke Presbyterian Church or the Heart Association.
