Brown, Nellie Fern, 95, of Wichita, KS passed away October 9, 2012. Nellie was born September 28, 1917 to Elmar Cooper and Rosa Wantland Cooper in Richmond, KS. She is survived by her brother Marion Cooper of Placerville, CA; her daughters Carol Parsons of Wichita, KS and Marilyn Akins of Scottsdale, AZ; her son Earnest Brown of Murrells Inlet, SC; her nine grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Chester L. Brown, her son Donald Brown, one infant son, and five brothers and one sister. Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, Oct. 13 at Resthaven Mortuary followed by a graveside service at Garnett Municipal Cemetery, Garnett, KS at 3:00 pm Saturday.
