Myra grew up in Sand Springs, OK. After graduation from Tulsa Central High School, Myra attended Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, OK and later received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. She moved to Wichita and started teaching at Levy School.
On June 14, 1958, she married Bobby White, in Wichita.
She is survived by her children, Daniel, Laura, and Robert White; and many nieces and nephews. Myra was preceded in death by her parents; a half-brother; and her husband in 2015.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th Street North, Wichita. A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with Sharon Baptist Church.
