Michael Wayne Pace Sr. entered this world on March 30, 1954, in Salina, Kansas, and on April 8, 2024, at 3:45 PM, the Master’s voice called him and it was time for him to rest. He was the fourth child of six born to the late Mr. Frank T. and Pauline V. Pace. His sister Thelma Y. Jones preceded him in death. He accepted Christ at an early age. He joined Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Camden, Arkansas, under the leadership of the late Reverend W. E. Bryant. He trusted in God. He graduated from Wichita West High School in 1972. He married the late Ava Marvetha Zeigler and to this union, Donisha Hopson and Michael Wayne Pace Jr. were born.
He served in the United States Army for seven years, three years active duty, and four years as a reservist. He worked at Copeland Company here in Wichita as a printer until Aug 1985. He became disabled in 2005. He completed his life as a resident of the Legacy of College Hill nursing home in Wichita, Kansas.
Michael enjoyed life to the fullest. He enjoyed being with his friends, playing dominos, building puzzles, and hanging out at the American Legion, but most of all he loved his family. Especially his son Michael Jr. and Donisha, and his favorite brother-in-law Tommy Jones. He had a big heart filled with love for everyone he met. He would always make you smile. His survivors will surely miss his strength of character. He leaves to lament his passing, Daughter, Donisha (Chuck) Hopson, (Wichita, KS), Son, Michael W. Pace Jr., (Wichita, KS), Sisters, Kathryn D. Robinson and Kathy K. Pace, (Wichita, KS), Brothers Mark L. (Deona) Pace, (Kansas City, MO), Frank T. Pace Jr., (Lemoore, CA), 10 Grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
