JANSEN, Michael L. 68, retired police officer, passed away May 15, 2015. Michael, born August 21, 1946, was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and God’s servant who was courageous, deeply loved and will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by mother, Rosalie Jansen, and brother, John Jansen. Michael is survived by: wife of 37 years, Sandy; sons, David Lee Jansen and Joshua Alan (Erin) Jansen; daughter, Jessica Rose-Marie Foreman; father, John H. Jansen; brother, Richard (Gabriele) Jansen; sister, Pam Batterman; and grandchildren, Christian Jansen, Aimee Foreman, Addison Foreman, Aidan Foreman, and Abbigail Foreman. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been set up with the American Lung Association. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18 at Resthaven Mortuary from 4-8 with family present from 5:30-7:30. Funeral service will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church, 2801 W. 15th St. N., on Tuesday, May 19, at 10:00 AM.
