94, passed away September 26, 2016. Born in Blue Mound Kansas, he later received a Bronze Star for his service in World War II. Merle was a Newton Kansas resident; he owned Davidson Welding and later retired as a welding instructor. He was an expert welder and fabricator. He was a brilliant, spirited jokester who loved to fish, hunt, and dance. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He was preceded by son, Donald Davidson; and 9 siblings. Merle is survived by son, Harley (JoAnn) Davidson; daughters, Naomi (Donald) Rakestraw and Suzy (Gene) Sebo; 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. A graveside service at Blue Mound, KS Cemetery Saturday,October 8, 2016 at 2 p.m.
