Mason was a Service Manager at Berry Companies, Inc./White Star Machinery in Wichita, Kansas. He truly enjoyed working with his staff and the clients they served.
Mason grew up in Hutchinson, Kansas where he graduated from Hutchinson High School. He then attended college at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Service Management and Business. He met his best friend and future wife, Lauren (Smith) Harbert, at college, and they were wed in Wichita in April 2019.
Mason was gifted and excelled in all things related to carpentry, mechanics, business, and home renovation. He could always be found in his garage working on his next project, which never felt like work to him.
Mason was a passionate family man and adored his wife Lauren, and their son Hudson. Father and son were inseparable, spending all of their time outdoors and in the garage together.
Mason was known for his kindness, his willingness to help others, his big bear hugs, and his laughter.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather and grandmother, Ralph and Dolores Harbert; maternal grandfather, Robert Bendickson; aunt, Kathy (Harbert) Sowers; and cousin, Cody Martinez.
Mason is survived by his wife, Lauren Harbert (Wichita); son, Hudson Harbert (Wichita); parents, George and Julie Harbert (Lawrence, Kansas); brother, Tyler Harbert (Los Angeles, California); sister, Haven Harbert (Lawrence); grandmother, Sharon (Dalluge) Bendickson (Lawrence); and numerous relatives and lifelong friends.
Funeral service for Mason will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 2, 2022, with visitation one hour prior, at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th Street N, Wichita, Kansas 67206.
