Irene is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Sims; her parents, Daniel and Edna Drummond; daughter-in-law, Jill Sims; 6 sisters and 1 brother.
She is survived by sons, Alan (Cindy) of Little Rock, AR, Kerry (Suzie) of Farmer’s Branch, TX, daughter, Valerie Beltz of Wichita; sister, Ernestine (Ervin) of Springdale, AR; grandchildren, Wesley (Katie), Justin, Travis Sims, Kody (Melanie) Beltz, Tyler Sims, Kara (Andy) Munley, Tara (Braden) Sanderson, Kyle (Danielle) Beltz; great grandchildren, Jacob, Jetta, Landon, Bella, Tambler, Griffin, Brayden.
A funeral service for Irene will be held Monday, October 24, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209, followed by a graveside service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
