I remember her fondly when she went on the philippine mission trip with us and oh! how she bonded with the kids there. She told them a story of how you can have a happy smile and how you can have a sad smile, etc.. and I remember her wearing that smiley tie when she told the "Smile" story! It was so sad hearing of Mickey's passing.  She was a very special person and I loved her very much.  Our last contact was last summer after I had my heart attack.  She e-mailed me hoping I would be better soon and told me she was not well, but I had no idea until about a month ago that she was in the nursing home.  I have missed the family since Ressie died.  They were a special God fearing family.

I was sad to hear of Mickey's passing.  I remember her from when I was a kid and would go to Aunt Marie Nash's, which was across the road from Mrs. Ressie's. I will keep your family in my prayers.

Mickey....thank you for taking good care of me, for helping me find a place to live, for fixing my bedroom with new curtains and bed sheet, for taking me to church and back home, for thinking about what else do I need when you get new garage stuff, for thinking I am an angel to you when you really is an angel to me, and for showing to me how a servant of Christ should act and love.  Whenever I see my angels and painting in my room....I will always remember you!!! You will always be a special part of me....thank you Leonard for sharing Mickey to me..... Mickey will be missed by me ,alot of good memories of her i was helping her daycare  we had a good time ,i remember her when she taught in church at north side CHURCH   go on trips with the young people . Julie and Darren and Learead  just take one day at a time .She is up there having a good time with my brothers especially Bob.What a wonderful lady who was a good servant to God . Dear Leonard,
You and Mickey were such an inspiration of love and patience to the teachers who taught your foster kids.  I know that you and she made a huge difference in the lives of Trey, Coco and so many, many others.  It was a joy to know both of you, and your family is in my prayers.

You are so missed, Mickey! We love you. You are one of the greatest servant in the Lord. I was so honored to have you in my life especially when we did things together ministering to others that are in need. You had so much energy that it is so hard to keep up with you. Love you so much!

As Mickey's first cousin I also had the priviledge to live in close proximity to her and to go through grade and part of high school with one of my favorite cousins. There were fond memories of playing monolopy with her brother Kenneth, her dad Borden, her mother Ressie, and her sister Sue. Mickey has always been quite skilled at making anyone laugh and you always left her presence with a feel-good attitude. Her sense of humor was also an important attribute toward influencing others spiritually. Listen very carefully now and you can still hear her unique, "one of a kind" laugh. .....Shiii..Did you hear it?

Leonard, Julie and Brian,  I was so sorry to hear about Mickey.  You and your families are in my prayers.  She is safe with our Lord and Savior.  I have many good memories of when we used to bowl together and what fun we had and all the things we used to do together at church.

Mickey was an amazing example of God's love. Her love and compassion was evident in everything that she did. May the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you during this difficult time. God bless.

To the Saffell Family, I am a long time old friend from Newark, use to go home from church and spend the afternoon with Mickey and Sue and family.  She was a strong christian, no one had more fun than Mickey at her class reunions, she never missed a one.  I will miss her dearly.
