Mary Amelia Havens, age 68, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023, in Wichita, Kansas. Mary was born on September 25, 1954, in Dodge City, Kansas, to Doyle and Mary Evelyn Ventling.
Mary was an administrative assistant for Airco for 30 years. She enjoyed camping, being in her pool, online shopping, her puppies, sock monkeys and jewelry. She was also a co-chair for the Hydrocephalus Association WALK for 11 years. Family was everything to her. She loved her bling and her Cherry Dr. Pepper. Mary also served as a parishioner at St. Francis of Assisi for over 30 years.
She was preceded in death by, her parents and she leaves behind: her husband of 32 years, Michael Havens; two daughters, Rachel (Travis) Inskeep and Amanda (Chris) Eddy; six grandchildren: Dalton Inskeep, Amelia Sponsel, Avery Inskeep, Madelyn Trower, Henry Trower, and Cooper Inskeep; six siblings: Tom (Jennifer) Ventling, Margie (Tom) Brown, Michael (Kelli) Ventling, Mark (Emelie) Ventling, Jennifer (Jeff) Hutton, and Pam (Jeremy) Hildebrand.
A visitation for Mary will be held Friday, September 8, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a recitation of the rosary following at 7:00 PM both at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Kellogg, Wichita, KS, 67209. A mass of christian burial will occur Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 3642 N. Ridge Road, Wichita, KS 67205 with a committal service immediately following at Resurrection Cemetery, 1640 N. Maize Road, Wichita, KS 67212.
