Mary Earlene Endicott age 81, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024. Earlene was born to Cecil Earl and Mary Texie Dunkle in Joplin, Missouri, on August 30, 1942. She went to grade school at Silver Creek School (1st-8th) and completed high school at Joplin High.
Earlene met the love of her life, Jesse Lloyd Endicott in the small rural town of Duenweg, MO during her high school years. They married soon after Earlene graduated on November 18, 1960. They were married 61 years before Lloyd passed away in September of 2021. In a tribute to her, Lloyd wrote, “Earlene is truly the most important part of my life and is a true blessing from God. I sincerely cannot imagine how my life would have been without her…”
Earlene’s relationship with Jesus and her family was a main priority. She was very creative with sewing, crafting, quilting, painting, and so much more. Each of her grandchildren were given a homemade quilt and a teddy bear that greatly surpassed store bought bears! She used her time, gifts, and talents to serve her family, friends, and church. Sunday lunches together, birthday celebrations, and holidays were always valued and enjoyed. Lloyd and Earlene spent countless hours at their grandchildren’s plays, sports events and activities. Earlene would light up each time she got time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandkids! Earlene was well loved by her family, friends, and caregivers. She was known for her sweet spirit and welcoming smile.
Earlene is survived by her daughters Kim (Tom) Klein, Tobi (David) Wright, Heidi (Nghiep) Trieu, Tiffany (Rodney) Bartlett; honorary son Sam Goodwin; grandchildren Sam (Karin), Elijah, Anna (David), Andrea, Tobias, Jordan, Aaron, Natalie, Mikaela, Isaac, Quinten, Anouk, Caleb, Jesse, Emily; great-grandchildren Davito, Gabriela, Joel Sebastian, and Winifred.
