Eileen was preceded in death by: her parents, husband Virgil, and brothers: Willis (Hays, KS), Dan (Wichita, KS) and Ron (Hays, KS).
Survivors include: her sister, Dianna (LaVern) Zimmerman, Great Bend, KS and Sister-in-laws: Karen and Mary Frances, Hays KS; sons: Mark (Dr. Lynn Smith), Wichita KS, and Tom (Ginger), Emory TX; granddaughters: Christa (Chris Burk), Arlington VA, Sara (Matt) Veigl, Plano TX; great-grandsons: Leo and Cato Veigl; and great-granddaughter, Lively Veigl.
Eileen was an avid bowler, BINGO player and card player. She loved the Dallas Mavericks basketball team and was never happier than she was having a house full of family and friends that she could cook for and entertain. Eileen was a restaurateur in La Crosse, KS and retired from the district office of Goddard Public Schools, USD 265, Goddard, KS.
Per her wishes she was cremated. Services will be held at The Church of the Holy Spirit, 18218 W. HWY. 54, Goddard, KS, Saturday, August 5th. Rosary at 9:30 with funeral Mass following at 10:00. Inurnment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory following the funeral Mass.
