Mark Alan Snavely

Mark Snavely, age 53, of Valley Center went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 with his family by his side. Mark Snavely was born June 8, 1961 the son of Harold and Bernice Snavely (May) in Wichita, Kansas. He graduated from Goddard High School, and went on to work at Marble Products for 36 years. On April 1, 1988 Mark was united in marriage to Kelly Barnes. Mark was a fun-loving man who enjoyed fishing, being at “The Puddle”, and spending time with his family. Mark is survived by his loving wife, Kelly; son, Sean Snavely of Valley Center; daughters, Ashley Bennett and her spouse Mike of Maize, Jennifer Snavely of South Haven; grandkids, Jacob and Emmalyn Bennett; sister, Duretta (Dee) Wretberg and her spouse Neil of Valley Center; and brother, Harold Snavely of Wichita. Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Bernice Snavely, and his sister, Marsha Fast. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, July 29 at the Poplar Avenue Church of Christ, 600 S. Poplar, Wichita, KS 67211. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, 12100 E. 13th S.
