Marjorie Lou (Huff) Anderson, age 89, of Wichita, Kansas went to be with the Lord and her husband, Oliver on September 23, 2023. Marjorie was born November 5, 1933 in Iola, Kansas to Mable LaBrant Huff and Clifton Huff.
Marjorie met her husband of 70 years in Emporia, Kansas during High School and they later married on August 17, 1952. After both graduated from college they moved to Kansas City and soon welcomed their first child Steven in 1955. Moving then to Tulsa they added 2 more sons, Martin (1957) and Brian (1960). Returning to Kansas City they welcomed their daughter, Susan in 1964. In 1965 Oliver's career led them to Wichita, Kansas where they raised their children and partnered in running the family business, Unirex.
As a loving mother and grandmother she was invested in every sporting, music, school, and scouting event they participated in. Through Marjorie and Oliver's faith, they formed many strong friendships at various churches including the last 49 years spent at Central Christian Church. Dedication to her faith brought her many enjoyable evenings hosting bridge, Bible studies and fellowship events. Other passions included raising and showing Collies, owning and riding horses and supporting the Wichita State Shockers.
Marjorie is survived by her sons Steven Anderson (Martine), Martin Anderson, and Brian Anderson (Jenny); daughter Susan Anderson (Greg Dalke); brother-in-law Myron Anderson (Marilyn Potvin); grandchildren Melissa Hancock (Brandon), Darren Anderson (Erin), Tanner Anderson, Evan Anderson, Shauna Anderson, Adam Bengtson (Tracy); and great grandchildren Madison, Foster, Luke, Kyle and Jackson.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Oliver Anderson; father Clifton Huff; mother Mable LaBrant Huff; and brother Clifton Huff.
A Celebration Of Life for Marjorie will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Central Christian Church, 2900 N Rock Rd, Wichita, KS 67226.
