Marilyn Ann Yockey, age 90, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023. Marilyn was born in Munjor, Kansas to Anton and Lidwina Korbe on July 24, 1933. She moved to a farm north of Waverly, Kansas and graduated from Melvern High School in 1951. Marilyn married Merle E. Yockey.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Norman and Harold Korbe, sister Ellen Fellers, and daughter Linda Yockey Desmarteau Hedges. She is survived by her husband Merle, children Joyce (Rick) Sanchez, Mike (Pam) Yockey, Julie (Paul) Moutray, and Jeff (Linda- Deceased) Hedges, siblings Wilma Hull and Janet (George) French, Carol (Jim) Williams, Jane (Russ) Heinen, Roy Korbe, Judy (Mike) Nunamaker, and sister in law LouAnn Korbe, 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
A rosary for Marilyn will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 2701 S. Pattie, Wichita, KS 67216. A mass of christian burial will occur Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 2701 S. Pattie, Wichita, KS 67216. An interment will occur Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Hill Crest Cemetery, 10102 E. 95th St S., Derby, KS 67037.
