K. Marilee Emley, 92, passed away December 1, 2017. She was born to Hugh and Kathryn Murphy on January 6, 1925 in Ranger, TX. She always kept busy during her working life, as a waitress for Branding Iron, Sunset Diner and Town and Country; a secretary at Cessna and the City of Wichita; and a volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital. She loved her family, enjoyed square dancing and could be described as witty, loving, understanding, forgiving and feisty. Marilee was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Emley; brothers, Marion "Buddy" Murphy, Vird Murphy, Hubert Murphy and Hugh Murphy Jr.; and sister, Naomi Ballard. She is survived by children, Patricia Jones, Lester (Lynn) Biggs, John (Debbie) Biggs, Ralph (Connie) Biggs and Michael (Peggy) Biggs; sister, Wanda Cave; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at Resthaven Mortuary at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 5th, with visitation to start one hour prior.
