Louie V. Morris peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the age of 95. He was born to Joseph Morris and Alabama (Thornton) Morris in Garfield Co. Oklahoma. Louie graduated from Garber High in 1945, then joined the Navy. After the war, he attended Phillips University and met the love of his life Virginia Schawe. They married in 1951. They had two sons, Monte and Todd. Louie received his bachelor's degree in Geology and worked as an engineer in the aircraft industry until his retirement from Boeing.
He was preceded in death by his son, Todd; parents, Joseph and Alabama Morris; loving wife of 65 years, Virginia Morris; and brother, John Morris.
Survived by his son, Monte Morris; grandchildren, Joel (Caelie) Morris and Jessica (Matthew) Clarke; brother, Bill Morris; great-grandchildren, Paxton, Cooper, and Kasen Morris, Parker and Charlotte Clarke.
A Celebration of Life will be held May 20, 2023 at 10:00 am at 818 W. Willow, Andover, Kansas.
